Almost everyday I see a clear line with a spot in it, kind of like a vein with a blood cell. They only last a few second, but I was wondering what they are and if I should see a specialist.Clear lines in my vision?
What you are describing sounds like floaters. Floaters are a common and natural occurrence. They are just bits of protein in the jelly part of the eye (vitreous) that cast a shadow on your retina and so can be seen in your vision. They are most easily visible against a bright background
Normally, they are nothing to be overly concerned about, but if you start to see a lot of them all of a sudden, or flashing lights or a shadow in your vision too, then this can be an indication of a retinal detachment and so needs urgent medical attention
