The status of your eyes is strictly genetic and has nothing to do with whether you wear your glasses or not. If your DNA has preordained that your eyes are going to get worse, wearing glasses can't stop it. They just correct it temporarily. Same w/ contacts. The only thing that can actually correct your eyesight permanently is laser surgery.
