That means there is something wrong with the power or the curvature.
You will have to go back to where you got them from for a recheck to find out why.Vision is not clear with contacts! Plz help!?
when did u get ur lenses? there is normally a 1 week testing period during whc they make u wear t lenses 4 a week and thn see if u're comfy in thm. so if ur trial period isnt up, go to ur opt. n tell him tht ur vision isnt clear. n as ur new 2 lenses, dont wear thm for more than 8-10 hrs at a stretch.lens wear tires out ur eyes n tired eyes can sumtimes see blurry. sumtimes a particular brand might also prove to b uncomfortable to 1 so its better 2 try out lenses from another brand(i tried out 3different ones before i settled on my current pair). another cause 4 blurred vision is injury 2 t eye caused while inserting n removing lenses(in this case ur eye will hurt so if it isnt hurting thn its probably not t cause of ur blurry vision).
but most probably, ur blurred vision is caused for any 1 of the following 2 reasons:
1. ur lenses r loose. they do not sit on t eye properly.lenses r supposed 2 slide on t eyes so tht everytime u blibk ur eyes can get fresh air. but if theyre loose they'll slide too much. so when u open ur eyes after blinking ,ur vision will b blurry. or u'll feel as if ur lenses r moving abt n may come out. if this is t case, tell ur opt. tht u need lenses tht fit a lil tighter.u'll need 2 try out a different brand as all brands use different curvatures.
2. ur vision may b blurry if u have high cylindrical power. on ur eye test form where ur power is listed, u'll see 2 categories - spherical and cylindrical. t latter means ddefect in t eye shape and can b correct using special lenses called torric lenses. i have cylindrical power as well as spherical n so my lenses dont help me see as clearly as glasses do. so check out whc lenses u have. if u have only spherical power, u're good with soft lenses. but if u have cylindrical 2 thn u'll need toric soft lenses. they r slightly more expensiv n hav 2 b ordered. ask ur doc coz if u do need torrics n r wearing ordinary soft lenses, ur vision will b unclear. i used 2 wear only soft ones n i ***** mak out ppl's facial features closely in dim light evn at arm's length. with torics i can see much better. so pay ur doc a visit today...hope i helped. anything else u need 2 know, just ask :)
all t best !
Patients who have a slight amount of astigmatism but aren't wearing special contacts to correct it can notice a difference in clarity between their glasses and their contacts. You could also be having issues with the fit that are creating problems. You need to see your doctor for a recheck.
Well it could just be the contacts. Maybe they have a scratch or something. Take them back to your optician and ask them about it.
